👋 Hello!

Thanks for hopping on this site and wanting to know more about me. My name is Jas and I am a dad, husband, son, brother, an uncle and a friend to some really “phenomenal” people in this world.

I love to read biographies and fiction. I am also deeply interested in world history and various aspects of how the human mind works.

In my free time, I love the peace and quiet and often hop on my road bike for a long flat ride (not a huge fan of the hills). Lately I’ve been learning about various forms of cooking and subjects typically taught at culinary schools. I do not believe that I am a good cook but I won’t hesitate to prepare a dinner for 25.

Lastly, I’ve had the good fortune of working at some really cool fintechs, banks and consulting firms and have thoroughly enjoyed being at the deep end of various problems related to risk and compliance. I love to rant about how compliance is undervalued and why fintechs ate the banks’ lunch and how the banks will make a comeback.
